Here are some practical tips for outdoor shades as you transition into the fall months:

Cleaning Your Screens For Fall.

*Use 781 Dry Silicone Spray on Outdoor Screen TRACKS ONLY, Not Directly On Screens*

Here is the process for spraying the screen tracks:

  • Raise the screens all the way up
  • Shake the can
  • Start at the top of the track (high as you can reach) and spray in the tracks as close as possible moving to the bottom of the tracks
  • Raise the screens up and down a couple of times and you are good to go
  • No need to let dry and you need to spread it

Tips to keep your tracks running smooth:

  • Spray tracks every other month it will reduce and possibly eliminate future problems with the screens
  • Do not use WD40, which collects dust, only use 781 Dry Silicone Spray
  • Work in dry weather with little to no wind to avoid overspray and help the silicone settle properly.
  • Spray the tracks about 1 inch away from the track, to not have overspray.

Remember, Cool Screens Of Texas has Screen Cleaning Services and Track spray is part of the process when we come out. To make an appointment for this please call or email us!
